DJR FUNCTIONAL AREA EXPERIENCE

 

Engineering, Systems Engineering and Process Engineering Support:  

DJR Associates uses its extensive knowledge and expertise in Systems engineering to support continuing Standard Missile-2 integration and testing with various foreign naval combat systems. We also have over 20 years experience in the development and implementation of engineering design elements.  Our associates have experience in this role from Concept through Production and In-Service support, including the role of Systems Engineer for Raytheon during the Maneuverability Upgrade-2 (MU-2) program.  

Modeling, Simulation, Stimulation, and Analysis Support:  

DJR Associates has extensive experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis for the USN Standard Missile (SM).  Associates have significant SM modeling development expertise, including AAW, TBMD, and ASUW applications.  Analysis activities have included the development, modeling, and performance predictions for various SM-2 missile test firings.  DJR has supported the USN assistance of foreign navy integration, test, and firing of SM-2.  DJR Associates lead the modeling and analysis of the Low Altitude Terrier Target (LATT) activities.  

Prototyping, Pre-production, Model-Making, and Fabrication Support:  

DJR Associates developed the Range Safety Tool (RST), a prototype tool for SM-2 live firing exercises.  The RST provides firing ship’s an additional asset to enhance safety for live missile firings, as well as providing quick reduction of a set of telemetry data from the missile.  

System Design Documentation and Technical Data Support:  

DJR Associates has served as the lead for the development of Top Level Requirements and various Interface Requirements Specifications for the integration of SM-2 and VLS with foreign navy combat systems.  Associates expertise has been called upon to review and comment on contract-supplied design documentation, test plans, and test reports supporting SM-2.  

Software Engineering, Development, Programming, and Network Support:  

DJR Associates developed all of the unique software for the RST, including several additional modules that enhanced the capability beyond the initial scope.  Associates frequently develop analysis tools, models, or simulation modules to assist analysis tasks.  

Interoperability, Test and Evaluation, Trials Support:

DJR Associates has served as the USN test director for several foreign navy SM-2 firing exercises, including the Republic of Korea Navy KDX-II initial SM-2 firings.  In this capacity, DJR was responsible for the development of countdown procedures and crew shipboard training to support each firing event.  Associates have extensive experience supporting testing and trials at-sea, on land, and in the laboratory.  

Training Support:

DJR Associates has developed the training procedures and conducted the shipboard training for several foreign navy SM-2 test firings.   

In-Service Engineering, Fleet Introduction, Installation and Checkout Support:

DJR Associates currently supports Raytheon and NSWC/PHD as a member of the Failure Root-Cause and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) team for Standard Missile.  

Program Support:

DJR Associates supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) for the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Forward Deployed Radar with both technical expertise and program management skills.  Associates participate in Hardware Manufacturing IPT, Non-Conformance and Cross Program meetings to assure sufficient government oversight can be achieved.   

Functional and Administrative Support:

DJR Associates provides programmatic and technical administrative support to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Integrated Warfare Systems.  Associates provide senior level support and are considered part of the official executive staff to the eight-nation Maritime Theater Missile Defense Forum / Executive Committee.  DJR is responsible for recommending, developing, and implementing operating procedures used under international agreements.  We also assist in the development of the Maritime Missile Defense Framework MOU Project Arrangements and associated documentation.
