and Development (R&D) Support: BAE Systems conducts R&D
efforts to reduce vibration and airborne noise from all AN/BLQ-11 Mine
Reconnaissance System vehicle noise sources such as the propulsion motor, fin
actuators, hub seal/bearing assembly, cooling fans, antenna and stab deployment
and retrieval actuators, inertial navigation unit and shaft flexible coupling.
Our Team provides Navy Open Architecture (OA) concept formulation and system
development to NSWC Dahlgren T-30. Engineering, Systems Engineering and Process Engineering Support: BAE Systems provides Systems
engineering and life cycle management for missiles & launchers.
Our team performs engineering, system engineering, and process
engineering tasks for the TARTAR FMS Core Program, MK 92 Computer Program, AEGIS
Advanced Operator Console (AOCD) effort, and Next Generation Peripherals (NGP)
Adjunct System development. Under multiple orders, BAE Systems performs
engineering tasks for the development and analysis of new warfighting
capabilities with the Modeling, Simulation, Stimulation, and
Analysis Support: Prototyping, Pre-production,
Model-Making, and Fabrication Support: BAE Systems developed a prototype
tool for T&E of the TB‑29 Light Weight Tow Cable (LWTC), TB‑29A/BQQ
LWTC, and durability modules. They
provided design, prototype development, manufacturing QA, and testing of various
5" munitions including Extended Range Guided Munition (ERGM) and 5"
Cargo Round. BAE Systems coordinates
prototype and test assembly design and development activities aboard NSWC
Dahlgren and at manufacturing and test sites nationwide.
They also perform design, fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting
of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence, Surveillance,
and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) equipment for NSWC Carderock Division Detachment
Norfolk. BAE Systems performed
hyperbaric chamber operations, test instrumentation design and installation,
systems interface, computer systems analysis, IV&V, software design and
development, data acquisition, reduction, and analysis. BAE Systems built, fabricated, repaired, and tested
out-of-production test equipment and spare cable assemblies for the following
test sets: MK 612 Standard Missile Test Set, MK 680 Combined Missile Test
Set , MK 678 Telemetry Test Set, and MK 672 VLA Test Set.
We designed and integrated a COTS Resistance and Insulation HIPOT tester
into a portable IMA VLA Surveillance Cable Test System.
BAE Systems develops Ship Alteration Proposals for NAVSEA by preparing engineering change proposals, engineering charge orders, and maintenance requirement procedures. BAE Systems prepares, evaluates, and updates system integration documentation for VLS and all VLS-launched missile variants. BAE Systems performs design, installation, and troubleshooting of C4ISR equipment for NSWC Carderock. BAE Systems generated test plans, CAD drawings, systems schematics, and technical reports and conducted data collection, and analysis for NSWC Panama City. BAE Systems has developed the BFTT System Specification, System Engineering Management Plan, System Segment Design Documents, CM Plan, Software Development Plan (SDP), Computer Resources Life Cycle Management Plan, IV&V Plan, Interface Design Documents (IDDs), Interface Requirements Specification (IRS), and Interface Requirements Document (IRD). BAE Systems analyzes designs,
writes code for, tests, and integrates software for TOMAHAWK Weapons Control
Systems. The software development
processes (jointly used by NSWC Dahlgren and BAE Systems) have been approved at
SEI CMM Level 3. BAE Systems analyzed requirements, designed and developed
software, and conducted engineering tests of the VLS MK 41 Computer
Programs. Reliability, Maintainability, and
Availability (RM&A) Support: BAE Systems provides RM&A
studies and monitoring to several U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) programs, including
Infantry Weapons Systems, M1A1 tanks, Amphibious Assault Vehicles (AAVs), fire
support and anti-armor systems, ammunition management, Anti-Terrorism and Force
Protection systems, Raids and Amphibious Reconnaissance Systems, and non-lethal
weapons and technologies. BAE
Systems provides RM&A expertise to the NATO SEASPARROW Program Office,
includes mapping and measuring all RM&A factors and requirements against
system design and products to ensure a system availability, MTTR, and MTBF
requirements are achieved. BAE Systems provides system safety
analyses and evaluations. Tasks
included ensuring that NUWC Newport and OSHA system safety requirements were
factored into PTF upgrade design. BAE Systems provides complete hardware,
software, and weapons system safety expertise to NSWC Dahlgren G71.
From design through operations, safety requirements and analyses are
developed using tools such as Fault-tree Analysis for safety reviews, Software
System Safety Technical Review and Weapon System Explosive Safety Review Board (WSESRB)
Panels for programs including Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), Rolling Airframe
Missile (RAM), NATO SEASPARROW Missile (NSSM), and Extended Range SEASPARROW
Missile (ESSM). BAE Systems performs baseline
identification, status accounting, and audits for hardware, software, and
documentation resources of guns/munitions, missiles, and launcher programs.
BAE Systems provides CM
expertise to NAWC-AD St. Inigoes for JBS and WARCOM communications systems.
Under the VLS MK 41 contracts, BAE Systems tracked trouble reports and change
proposals, provided technical recommendations to Change Control Board (CCB) and
Computer Program Status Review meetings, tracked software and documentation
receipts, and conducted and maintained inventories of software and documentation
libraries. Quality Assurance (QA) Support: BAE Systems develops QA procedures
and conducts QA audits on Towed Array Handling Equipment (TAHE) refurbishment
efforts and led the TAHE Depot through ISO 9001:1994 certification and
recertification to the ISO 9001:2000 standard.
Team analysts review and update technical documentation, engineering
drawings, production processes, and manufactured parts and assemblies in
Dahlgren and at manufacturing and testing facilities nationwide. BAE Systems’s

and technical tasks for the development, testing, and maintenance of the Next
Generation Peripheral Adjunct (NGP/A) network system.
We analyzed captured data between the AOCD, the NGP, the NGP/A and the
AEGIS Weapon System to evaluate the proper integration of the different
components. We also designed an NGP/A
device to capture and manage the data received from the NGP.
BAE Systems provides IS development, IA, and IT architecture development
to NSWC Dahlgren’s Joint Project Office for Special Technology
Countermeasures. Inactivation and Disposal Support: BAE Systems supervised the removal
and disposition of the Lightweight Broadband Variable Depth Sonar (LBVDS) system
and Multi Function Towed Array from the USS Nicholson during
decommissioning. BAE Systems provides direct technical, programmatic, and
logistics support to NAVSEA Security Assistance Program Office's BAE Systems performs Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services by performing performance tests of surface ship sonar systems. BAE Systems provides Distributed Engineering Plant (DEP) and Joint DEP (JDEP) program management and system engineering to NSWC Dahlgren T-30, operate and maintain the DEP configuration; and provide engineering and technical support for computer program development, modification, data management, and electronic documentation. BAE Systems performs T&E and Trials tasks for USN ships and weapons systems. We perform Shipboard Electronic Systems Evaluations (SESEF), Magnetic Silencing, Combat System Ship Qualification Trials (CSSQT), Weapon System Accuracy Trials (WSAT), and Fleet Operational Readiness Accuracy Check Site (FORACS) Testing. BAE Systems performs extensive
services for the NSWC Dahlgren main and auxiliary ranges, including test arena
design and setup, shell house operations and ammunition loading, site
remediation, and test data analysis. BAE

acquisition strategy to plan for logistic requirements during the system design
and development phase and address supply support and provisioning requirements

logistics support to MARCORSYSCOM across programs including Infantry Weapons
Systems, M1A1 tanks, and AAVs. BAE
Systems performs Acquisition Logistics tasks for Mine, ASW, Torpedo, and
Submarine systems. We conduct
engineering evaluations and implement acquisition/performance-based logistics
for Mine and CV-TSC systems. We
identify operational requirements, develop system documentation, utilize ISO
processes, and verify supportability of COTS. BAE Systems provides Supply and
Provisioning expertise to MARCORSYSCOM for programs such as Infantry Weapons
Systems, M1A1 tanks, AAVs, and fire support. BAE Systems coordinates the
replacement of equipment, components, ancillaries, accessories and parts for
systems such as JBS and JBS variants, Tactical Radio System, and SOMS-B in
support of various commands such as Naval Special Warfare.
BAE Systems monitor usage and inventory levels and authorized spare parts
and equipment and maintain a master inventory list for all spares and coordinate
resupplying issued items utilizing the Federal Stock System, NAWC-AD contract,
and our procurement system BAE Systems Provided training
support, including the review of training requests, tracking of progress to
included obligation and payment. Operated
and functioned as system administrator for an in-house training database.
BAE Systems has supervised the preparation of AN/SQQ-89, AN/SQQ-28, and
AN/SQR-19 training material for ship’s force and FTSC personnel
indoctrination. BAE Systems provides training support to NAWC-Aircraft Division
St. Inigoes for Joint Base Station, Unified Command Suite, and Special
Operations Media System B (SOMS-B). We
provide equipment training, instructor and key personnel training, sustainment,
and refresher and specialized training. BAE
Systems produces T‑AKE 1 class crew familiarization training on a
stand-alone, multimedia-based training platform.
We have installed 200 Electronic Classrooms at 14 NAVAIR training sites
and deployed over 1,200 Fleet Training Devices.
BAE Systems has many years of
experience in working with the various aspects of Combat Weapons Systems
acquisition, design, development, test, production, and Installation and
Checkout (I&C); specifically for the AN/BQQ-10 Acoustic Rapid COTS Insertion
(A-RCI) and CCS MK 2 Block 1C CCS systems.
BAE Systems has experience with a broad range of diving and hyperbaric
system design, fabrication, construction, overhaul, and repair.
Efforts include HPAC replacement and repair, Pressure Vessel Assembly
coatings, HPAC overhaul, and LP systems modifications performed on certified
man/diver safe-life critical systems and accomplished in locations throughout
the world. Under the BFTT
Infrastructure support contracts, BAE Systems performed communication
site installation tasks, including site survey efforts necessary for BFTT
communications equipment installations and upgrades.
BAE Systems analyzes, authors,
edits, and reviews program documentation in support of the AN/BSG-1 Acquisition
Manager, PMS 425. BAE serves as Lead
Reviewer for all I&C-related contract deliverables under the procurement
contract and provides technical analysis oversight and management support
relating to the development of the GFI for CCS MK 2 Block 1C and A-RCI.
BAE Systems provides extensive planning and program management services
to project offices in BAE Systems prepares presentation material, minutes, and agendas; coordinates client meetings; tracks financial data; and designs reports in support of NUWC Newport.
